It's s beautiful hotel and the service was really lovely. We had a beautiful suite and they even had a cot in the room for m since I was with an infant.- I thought that was considerate. I had a incident with the night shift team but Ms Pinky was really accommodating and apologetic for the error and was fixed. I needed late check out and it was done with no issues. The beds and linen..I was so happy after a 18hr flight to get such great quality bedding.. you have no idea... it was Luke a ☁️cloud😂 Breakfast was excellent!! The restaurant space is beautiful and clean and the food was great quality, the clean space was a plus. Jabulani is the guy.. he was so kind.. I didn't have the best reception from the ladies.. they seemed annoyed all the damn time. I plan on staying there again with my husband when he arrives in SA in a few weeks.. Ohh and they have 24hr room service..which cane in handy- menu is limited in my opinion. Reception personnel was fantastic as well. i enjoyed my stay.

I stayed a couple of nights at this awesome hotel last week As a Solo traveller for leisure, I believe this is a very nice hotel, comfy and fancy for those who are wishing for a nice vacation in a 5 star hotel. The staff are wonderful & very helpful, whatever I ask for they were doing their best to keep me informative and assist with any additional services I need specially with some tour recommendations and bookings witch has been recommened and booked with them just within my budget range which is a super plus. The location of the hotel is great, in a very safe and super clean & developped area with many options for food and nightlife. Also it is very close to the fame Sandton area with its vibrant and safe nightlife and shopping center. Thanks to everyone working at this awesome hotel, prefer not to mention any names just to avoid missing any of them. Would recommend very much this hotel and would 100% enjoy a stay again once back to Johannesburg With LOVE

These are my people.. I came home to have a traditional wedding with my American husband and he fell inlove with this place as well. The staff is amazing.. Bhuti Jabu is my person here.. he took care of me when ladies at the restaurant payed more attention to men of other race and had me and my infant baby sitting there like I was not a guest. The food is high quality and the space is impeccably decorated. Breakfast was fresh and space was clean. The beds are super comfy and that tub was a swimming pool for my little baby.. we loved the small details of adding toy ducks and bassinet to the room for parents traveling with babies.. it's really lovely. Room service is great as well.. meals were great after a 19hr flight. They help with your luggage the min you park outside. Sisi Pinky was really amazing to us as well. I cannot thank the staff enough for being so warm.. as a South African visiting with ppl from other countries.. I was proud..keep it up guys. See you soon

A safe and emergency haven under the Marriott brand that fills the yawning gaps in Booking.com's other site listings, which displayed a dangerous and dramatic fail this time. I originally booked an apartment in the same Melrose Arch complex, and arrived to discover there was NO electricity and no back-up. Not even a torch or a candle. The apartment manager told me I wasn't promised electricity when I booked. Booking.com made some noises but stood by the penalty payment I had to make for cancelling and as far as I can tell have done nothing about their misleading listings. Electricity should be a given. Next time, I will book directly with Marriott because there is no way i'm trusting booking.com again.

They give you a Ducky for your bath. Rare to find management with a sense of humour. When I saw that bath after a week in the bush in Zambia, i nearly wept! Quirky decor. Bang on the best location. Food was excellent. I dont think we stay anywhere else in Joburg in the future.. And it is the little things that count. A make up mirror near a window. Much appreciated. Bath that easily takes 2. Proper coffee. Quality iron and ironing board. Crispy linen. Crazy fast room service. Breakfast was bang on. The statue at the bathrooms makes using a public toilet, my pet hate, amusing and intriguing. Oh and Melrose Arch rocks.
